His Eminence Dagyab Kyabgoen Rinpoche belongs to the Gelug tradition of Tibetan Buddhism. The Dagyab Kyabgoens have been the spiritual head of the Dagyab region in Eastern Tibet, and carrys the title Hothogthu Nomonhan (‘Hothogthu’ means noble, ‘Nomonhan’ refers to the King of Dharma). His Eminence Gyuto Khensur Rinpoche Sonam Palsang was born in 1934 at Meddugunkar Tibet.
