Six Elements-Cleansing Grand Healing Puja
Healing ritual especially aiding in stroke cases, paralysis, cancer, depression, autism, rheumatism and other serious ailments
This is a very rare and special puja which can only be performed by highly-skilled practitioners who have a vast experience with rituals. This grand puja is especially helpful for patients who suffer from stroke, paralysis, cancer, depression, autism, and rheumatism; and all of us who wish to prevent and avoid the occurrence of such diseases befalling us. In Tibetan, the name is "Dhuk Yong Chap Duu", meaning – healing puja which cleanses our body and purifies it of poisons. This grand healing puja was first conducted by Healing Lama Kangyur Rinpoche in February 2007, and was very well-received with overwhelming participation. The Healing Lama explained that in every ordinary human being, there are six elements present within our body which may be poisoned. They are namely the poisons of:
1.Wood element - Connected to our pulse system; when poisoned, causes immobility of limbs and physical difficulty
2.Earth element - Related to bones and flesh; manifests as chronic fatigue, body feels heavy and tired
3.Fire element - Affects body temperature regulation; results in fever and heat disorders
4.Water element - Associated with blood and bodily fluids; leads to blood pressure irregularities, joint problems, and rheumatic conditions
5.Wind element - Influences mental states; manifests as impatience, anger, and emotional volatility
6.Space element - Affects mental clarity; can lead to depression, hallucinations, and mental disturbances
The ritual requires specific sacred materials: three types of grass, soil, and water, each symbolizing different aspects of these poisons. During the ceremony, Geshe-la will perform sacred prayers to purify these six elemental poisons from our bodies. Through performance of this puja, countless beings who suffered from stroke, paralysis, cancer and various illnesses has experienced miracles and signs of recovery. It takes a highly powerful Tantric ritual Master to use his merit to aid in the recovery of all these patients.
While some may believe they are in perfect health, ancient scriptures reveal that each person carries 424 subtle illnesses and faces 80,000 potential obstacles—a universal human condition. As ordinary beings, we often cannot perceive these imbalances until they manifest as visible symptoms, meaning that feeling well doesn't necessarily indicate complete health. This is a very rare puja which not only helps in the recovery process, but also helps us to avoid such major diseases from befalling upon us, hence is a highly beneficial puja which we should never miss.
**Note: Participants are required to attend the puja personally for it to be effective. There are specific items required for participation of this puja, please kindly invite it at a suggested offering of $10 per set at the puja event.

Shakyamuni Buddha is the historical Buddha who represents the transcendental wisdom of Buddhism from whom all the various lineages of Buddhism originated. Buddha perceives the reality of all phenomena directly and has fully developed compassion through meditation, so He spontaneously works for the welfare of all beings. Buddha has abandoned all unwholesome actions and over countless aeons, He has accumulated limitless merit through the practice of the six perfections of giving, ethics, patience, mental stability, effort and wisdom.
Buddha is said to have given 84,000 teachings, which elaborate on all the afflictions and the means of overcoming them. When Buddha spoke, countless beings each found in his words what benefited him or her most and could understand it in his or her own language. The only way to be liberated from all the suffering and fear in this uncontrolled cyclic existence, is to follow and practise the Buddha's teachings (dharma). Dharma is ultimately the abandonment of afflictions and obstructions to knowledge in a being's mental continuum. Dharma frees us from disturbing emotions and fundamental ignorance, leading us towards the fruition of state of complete freedom.
We take refuge and pay respect to Buddha Shakyamuni not only because of His attainment but also because of His compassionate loving heart, guiding sentient beings towards enlightenment. May we take this chance to pay respect to Buddha and contemplate on His qualities during this Grand Puja, may we all be able to attain enlightenment from this same path Buddha Shakyamuni demonstrated.

The 35 Confessional Buddhas have each manifested to purify specific negative karma that we are prone to committing. By reciting their names with faith and devotion, we can swiftly cleanse even the heaviest negative actions through the power of their blessings and prayers.
Why is purification important?
Purification eliminates negative karmic seeds before they ripen into future suffering, preventing unfortunate rebirths. It clears obstacles, purifies the mindstream, and enhances our ability to understand, meditate, and practice Dharma teachings. Through this puja, may we safeguard our future rebirths and create the causes to attain the supreme, unsurpassed wisdom.
What negative karma do we purify?
In our previous lives, while under the influence of deluded minds, we created a great deal of negative karma from non-virtuous actions – killing, stealing, sexual misconduct, lying, divisive speech, hurtful speech, idle chatter, covetousness, malice and holding wrong view. We also transgressed our commitments and incurred root and secondary downfalls. As a result, we may struggle to develop faith and conviction in Dharma, or face difficulties progressing on the path to enlightenment. If left unpurified, these negativities will inevitably bring future suffering. This puja is also highly beneficial for the deceased, helping them purify obstacles and accumulate merits for a fortunate rebirth.
