ADVICE FROM DEAR KYABJE ZONG RINPOCHE Rinpoche has emphasized that it is the personal responsibility of each individual practitioner to honestly evaluate their own readiness, foundation, and ability to fulfill the sacred commitments before registering.
To help you discern your readiness, please carefully review the prerequisites and daily practices outlined by Rinpoche below:
1. PRE-REQUISITES (for both Heruka and Vajrayogini) • Practitioners must have a firm understanding and experience of Lam rim and the Three Principal Aspects of the Path.
• Full-fledged HYT empowerments (such as the Heruka 5-Deity) require taking and maintaining Bodhisattva and Tantric vows, as well as a firm, unwavering conviction in the Tantric path.
To receive the Vajrayogini Blessing, you must meet one of the following criteria:
• Ideal: Have previously received the Heruka (Chakrasamvara) empowerment.
• Next Best: Have previously received a Mother Tantra empowerment.
• Minimum Requirement: Have previously received at least a Father Tantra empowerment (such as Guhyasamaja or Vajrabhairava/Yamantaka).
2. DAILY PRACTICE COMMITMENTS Receiving this empowerment binds the practitioner to a lifelong daily commitment:
• For Heruka & Vajrayogini: A daily commitment to practice the Six-Session Guru Yoga.
• For Vajrayogini (Additional): A daily recitation of the Vajrayogini mantra, according to the specific number of recitations you pledge to maintain.
In addition to Rinpoche's guidelines, it is important to emphasize that unwavering devotion and proper reliance on the Guru is the very root of the Vajrayana path, serving as the essential catalyst through which all realizations and blessings are received.
Participants are warmly encouraged to register as soon as you feel ready to step onto this profound path.
